This would depend on the individual car dealership. They may or may not accept a remote from an outside source such as eBay or Amazon. Chances are they would not because of time. Quite often the parts you get from online are either not the right match for your vehicle or they don’t quite work the same as the OEM part. For example, often the trunk buttons on the aftermarket remotes do not work.
It is more productive of the technicians time to use one from their own OEM stock rather than trying to figure out why yours is not programing in. If they do accept your remote, you will still have to pay a cut fee, if there is a key involved and also a programming fee. These fees vary from dealer to dealer.
