2016 2017 2018 Jeep Cherokee Remotes are more expensive than the 2015 and older jeep smart keys.  They require a updated and more expensive car key programmer.  These keys start at $250.  These smart remotes can be diferentiated from the previous jeep smart keys with the rubber gasket that circles the buttons on the fob.
